FS07 - Applied Design Thinking
Design thinking has become a buzzword in L&D. You’ve heard about it in theory but do you know how to apply design thinking into your everyday work? Let's roll up our sleeves and dive into an applied design thinking process. We’ll work through activities to discover opportunities and challenges to improving the overall learner experience starting with a “How might we improve …” scenario. We will identify who is the key persona we will focus on and map out the complete learner or stakeholder’s experience, start to finish. Along the way we’ll identify the pain points, challenges, and problems, and spitball ideas and solutions. In the end we’ll select and pitch your best ideas, and build low-fi prototypes of the ideas generated. At the end of this session, you’ll have a completed sample, instructions, and toolkit you’ll be able to use within your own organization to apply design thinking to all of your products.
In this session, you learn:
- How to position your learning solutions as products
- How to apply design thinking techniques
- To identify opportunities and challenges in the LX(D)
- Ways to create a strategy to improve the LX(D)
