COVID-19 Code of Conduct Policy
How to report harassment
If you are being harassed, or notice that someone else is being harassed, please bring it to the immediate attention of the event staff by flagging inappropriate posts, reaching out directly to a Learning Guild Team Member via the messaging option of the event platform, or by contacting our Executive Director, David Kelly, at dkelly@LearningGuild.com.
DDX Team Members can be identified by searching Learning Guild in the community section of the event platform.
Why do we have a code of conduct?
At The Learning Guild, we assume that most people are respectful and well-intended. We also want everyone to enjoy the event itself and the great networking and community richness that happens when we get together, be it in person or online.
To do that, though, we need every Learning Guild event to be a harassment-free experience for everyone. And that’s why we will not tolerate harassment of participants in any form—in person or online. A code of conduct helps us be clear about what is considered harassment and how to report it if it happens.
How do we define harassment?
Harassment includes offensive verbal or written comments related to gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, or religion (or lack thereof); displaying sexual images in public spaces; deliberate intimidation; stalking; following; harassing photography or recording; sustained disruption of talks or other events; inappropriate physical contact; and unwelcome sexual attention.
Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately.
Sponsors and vendors are also subject to the anti-harassment policy. In particular, sponsors should not use sexualized images, activities, or materials. Exhibitor staff (including volunteers) should not use sexualized clothing/uniforms/costumes, or otherwise create a sexualized environment.
What actions will be taken?
If a participant engages in harassing behavior, the event organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, including expulsion from the event with no refund.
We thank you for your help in keeping the event welcoming, respectful, and friendly to all participants.
IMPORTANT: Your registration for DDX 2020 assumes you agree to adhere to any and all requirements we put in place to ensure the safest environment for all attendees. Anyone who refuses to adhere to these requirements will not be permitted to participate in DevLearn activities.
